BELT SIZE GUIDE

Finding the right belt size can be a little tricky, because belts are sized differently from trousers. However, with measuring and the right size guide, you can make sure your purchase fits perfectly.

THE BEST WAY TO MEASURE FOR A NEW BELT

Measuring your existing belt is by far the best way to measure for a new belt.

Place your belt on a flat surface, and measure from the inside of the buckle to the hole you like the best.

If your belt is very thin or stretchy you should add 1cm to the measurement.

ANOTHER WAY TO MEASURE

Put on a pair of pants that fits well and represents what you plan to wear with the belt (low, medium or high waist).

Use a measuring tape and thread it through the belt loops as you would a belt.

Be sure you have the tape measure at the level on your waist or hips where you plan to wear the new belt. Add one cm to the measure.

A Silleknotte belt is sized to the middle hole of the five holes. The distance between each hole is 2cm. This means that the belt gives you plenty of flexibility to tighten and loosen it – about 8 cm in total. Should you be in between sizes, choose the size closest to your measurement.

You can exchange a belt for one of a larger or smaller size, although it is always much more fun to get it right the first time. Please remember, I don’t accept exchanges for belts that have been worn, so try it on once to check for size and then let me know. A new belt should always be slightly tighter than is comfortable, as it will loosen and settle after a couple of wearings.
